Mostly Harmless

Did the Self->Eval() for my yearly pay freeze a few weeks ago. Got the corporate mandated maximum raise amount. Score! Still waiting for it to actually kick in on the paycheck…ahem. (Yeah, yeah, “retroactive.” Yeah, yeah, happy to be employed.)

Not that salaried people with direct deposit will be getting physical paychecks anymore, starting this week. Big cost savings to be had with not printing things on paper, which is interesting because we are, ourselves, A PRINTING COMPANY.

Next year we get paid bi-weekly instead of twice monthly. I’m told that there is something terribly exciting about that but I can’t figure out what that’s supposed to be. I rather like the paycheck on the 15th, right before the car payment, and on the last day of the month, right before rent is due. Maybe they know that my last car payment is Monday the 18th? (Woo-freakin-hoo!)
