Mostly Harmless

I just turned 36.

On the upside, when I renewed my driver’s license a few weeks ago, I passed the vision test without my glasses. So I ain’t blind yet.

Also I’d like to point out that I still have no debt.

And… I was randomly promoted a couple of weeks ago, if you consider Web Development a promotion. I consider “not doing system administration and tech support” a promotion.

p.s. Today is also “Weird Al” Yankovic’s Birthday. Go figure.

A scrolling area on your trackpad is exactly the sort of thing you need when web surfing while lying on the couch with your laptop computer propped up at an odd angle.

A 42″ plasma computer display mounted on the ceiling — with a cordless scroll mouse and keyboard — would probably be a good solution too. Bit pricey though.

I actually got the “Parade of Homes” book on time for the last go ’round. Usually I see a billboard for the P.o.H. about 3 days before it ends and never even get the guide.

It turns out that the houses in the P.o.H. are generally in the $300k and up category, which isn’t terribly helpful. There are lots of nice $400k and $500k houses as well, of course, along with some of the $750k variety.

Here’s a thought, how ’bout they do “Parade of Houses You Can Actually Afford” that’d be great.

Someone just got their ass banned from this site for spamming teen pr0n sites in the comments… funny thing is that their big list of sites didn’t even show up because the HTML was automatically stripped out. The comments have all been deleted because (a) the person was a dick, I presume, and (b) one URL was still accessible.
