Happy Birthday!
Miss Kelly Brianne Clarkson is 22 today. She’ll be taking a month off now that her tour is finished and then go into the studio to work on her second album. If I could pre-order it right now I would.
The last tour date was last Friday here in St. Paul and she sang a new song called “Don’t,” which will hopefully be on the new album. She didn’t sing it at any other shows so it was a big surprise. It was also a big surprise to my web hosting provider when 4,560 of my closest friends stopped by to download it before I burned through my bandwidth quota (graph).
Kelly will be on “King of the Hill” on May 2nd, doing the voices of two characters, and on the AI3 finale on May 26th.

Photog Blog
I’ll eventually add this to my other blog links on the right, but that’s, like, a whole different template and everything.
Nothing much there but some photography links. Some people like that sort of thing though. Hmmm… I could buy a neat-o digital camera with my tax refund. That’d be cool. I could take pictures of monkeys at the zoo if I really wanted to, but I’d have to, you know, leave my apartment and stuff.
This means that most of my friends have their own domains now, only one loser hold-out (*cough*mark*cough*). I keed, I keed… ![]()
Random thought o’ the moment: my computer speakers suck. I had my EQ settings all calibrated before I got my new hard drive and did a fresh system install. I gotta dig up my old iTunes preference file. Harumph.

Taxing
I finally installed TurboTax last night and started doing my taxes. For some reason I couldn’t import last year’s return. I found the file but TurboTax wouldn’t recognize it. WTF?
Turns out that I used TaxCut last year, not TurboTax… Kaaaaaaahhhhhhhnnnnnnnn!
I had to enter my name and address all over again. The horror!
So far I’m getting back enough money to pay for the tax software.
Update: Make that a $600 refund, thank you very much. Let’s hear it for write-offs and losing money! Oh, wait… ![]()

The Big Drop
I’m predicting that KDWB’s $50,000 cash drop is an elaborate April Fools joke. I am, therefore, not one of the few thousand people standing in a park waiting for the helicopter.
(they are selling it like gangbusters, estimate is 4,000 people)
(I say fake bills with “April Fools” on them)
update to come…
Woot!
The “drop” was “500 one hundred dollar bills,” in other words “500 invoices for $100.” They did have a helicopter though. Pretty sweet.
Suckers.
Update #2: Some usage of the phrase “thousands of people” of which I was previously unaware. Maybe they’re invisible and standing between the hundreds of people you can actually see. Maybe people on morning radio shows aren’t to be trusted? kdwb fools
